I did some bench testing with the intercooles. I had three in my possession, Greddy, Godspeed and stock. The two larger Greddy and Godspeed have much more mass than stock and once they are heat soak it took a long time for them to cool. I'm thinking the electric fan will allow them to cool off even when I waiting a a light or on the tree. I also thought an electric fan was the only way I could get air flow across the entire intercooler surface with out a different fascia and no fog lights. Also there isnt an easy path for the air to exit from behind the intercooler. I believe wheel well vents are useless because a spinning wheel creates high a pressure in the wheel well. The fan will assist in pressurizing the cavity and the heated air will escape any way it can. There are many researched assumptions here and I'm installing a intercooler temp sensor to verify.
